Panel 10: The Development – Philanthropy Nexus: Making it Happen

Panellists: Samia Nkrumah, Member of Parliament, Ghana; Rachel Turner, Director of the International Finance Division for the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID); Pesh Framjee, Head of Non Profit, Crowe Clark Whitehill; and Zia Kahn, Vice-President of Strategy and Evaluation, Rockefeller Foundation. Lawrence Haddad, Director, IDS, is chairing.

The Panellists drew on their extensive experience and personal insights to:

  • Provide insight on the discussion from Day 1 and Day 2 thus far
  • Share their aspirations and visions for wellbeing, international development and philanthropy in the light of the emerging framework for action, and how the world will look in the decades ahead.
  • Exchange personal insights into the next phases and the future challenges as the framework for action “goes global” after the intensive discussion at Bellagio.
